Lodging Information

Most of the conference speakers are lodging at one of the following hotels:

  1. Union Club Hotel ($92 per night for a standard room); phone: 800-320-6291;
  2. Hilton Garden Inn ($98 per night); phone: 765-743-2100.
If you are interested in staying at any of these hotels you should call them and inquire about availability and rates. You should ask for the Purdue rate and mention that you will attend the Midwest Commutative Algebra and Geometry Conference.

We encourage junior researchers to find a roommate among the participants. A list of participants can be found on the conference webpage. We also suggest that you book your hotel through Priceline. To do this, go to

Put in Lafayette, Indiana, and the number of rooms and dates. Bid on a three star hotel for $35, then provide the information they need. If your bid is not accepted the first time, try again after 24 hours and bid $40. You will likely get a room in the Courtyard by Marriott. Hotel guests can ride the Star of America shuttle for free to the Purdue Union. It is also free to ride back to the hotel. The shuttles run every 2 hours from 6 am to 10 pm. In case you get a room in the Best Western Hotel, you can walk to the Marriott and take the shuttle. For those staying in the Holiday Inn, the hotel has a free shuttle to Campus. If all this fails, we have reserved some rooms in the Purdue Residence Halls. But these are very simple accommodations. If you want to stay there, you will need to let us know soon.
