So you have chosen to learn a little bit about me.  An interesting choice considering all the more productive things you could be doing with your time.

Currently, I am a fifth year mathematics graduate student at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.  Here I am given the opportunity to teach undergraduate classes while completing my own work in mathematics.  Standing at the front of a class has been an exciting experience for me and I believe that I want to be a professor and spend my next 40 years teaching motivated students mathematics.  I earned an M.A. in mathematics in the spring of 2006 from UK and do research in algebraic topology. At the moment I am interested in K-theory and a specific Bredon Homology theory.

I was raised in Hingham, Massachusetts, about 30 minutes south of Boston [on a good day] and graduated from Hingham High School in 2000.  That’s right, I’m a product of the public school system.  I attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio for my undergraduate degree and after four years, received a B.A. in Mathematics.  I hope to someday be a mathematics professors, perhaps at a school similar to Kenyon.

Although I think about math all the time, I do occasionally find time to enjoy a  few non-academic activities.  Some of these activities include reading (especially political science, history, and fantasy), lifting weights, cooking, eating, and to just a small degree following the Red Sox and Patriots. Below you will find a variety of sites that I personally find either useful, educational, or just a good place to waste time and laugh out loud.
