Since January 1, 2007, I am a member of the Algebra Group at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Kentucky.

Research Interests:

  • Coding Theory  with special interest in convolutional codes
  • Algebraic Methods in Systems and Control Theory with special interest in delay-differential systems

Ph. D. Students:

  • Fai-Lung (Tomas) Tsang, graduated June 2008; Ph.D. thesis: Skew rings, convolutional codes and discrete systems
  • Gert Schneider, graduated September 2008; Ph.D. thesis: On the weight adjacency matrix of convolutional codes
  • Aleams Barra and Elizabeth Weaver just started working with me.
