I began graduate studies in mathematics at UK in the Fall of 2004. I earned my Master’s in the Spring of 2006, passed my qualifying exam in 2007 and I am now “All But Dissertation (ABD)”, which means to finish earning my PhD, I only have the easy task of actually writing a dissertation. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in mathematics at University of Virginia - Wise with minors in physics and philosophy in the Spring of 2004. Before finishing my undergraduate degree, I, along with my wife, worked as American Sign Language interpreters in school systems in Virginia and freelance interpreted in Pensacola and Panama City, Florida. |

Before doing that, I was employed in various and sundry jobs including marina attendant and census taker. In the copious free time that I have, I’m playing the piano, guitar, or dulcimer, or else I'm reading. I like to read and discuss philosophy and/or religion, and I really enjoy science fiction and fantasy (kind of a job requirement). My wife, Kelly, is a licensed massage therapist at The Massage Center of Lexington. Despite over 11 years of marriage we’ve managed to avoid having children. We do have, however, a dachshund named Frodo and a cat named Salem. For even more information about my fascinating and amazing life, you can visit my Facebook page. |
