Applications are invited for one or more full time faculty positions to commence August 16, 2006, at the tenure-track (assistant professor) level. Appointees will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program and to teach graduate as well as undergraduate students. The department is seeking applicants in algebra, discrete mathematics, and numerical analysis and scientific computing. Outstanding applicants in other areas are also invited to apply.
Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. (or equivalent) by the time the appointment begins and are expected to present evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Applications should include the AMS Standard Cover Sheet for Academic Employment, curriculum vitae, a publication list, a statement about current and future research, a statement on teaching experience, at least three letters of reference addressing research, and a letter of reference addressing teaching.
