The Department of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky
invites applicants for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) position
to begin in August 15, 2008. The Lecturer will teach freshman
level mathematics courses and perform various duties associated with the
lower division mathematics program. The Lecturer will also develop,
coordinate, and supervise the TA mentoring program in mathematics.
The number of courses taught each semester will be determined each year
in consultation with the Chair of the Mathematics Dept based on teaching
needs and the expected administrative workload. A typical teaching
load will be two courses per semester. The position offers
competitive salary and full benefits.
Applicants having a Ph.D. in Mathematics are preferred,
but applicants having only a Masters degree in Mathematics will
also be considered.
