About Me

I grew up in Athens, WV where my mom still lives and works. Here's a link to her business!

I attended Athens Elementary and Pikeview High until I graduated in 1999. I spent most of my time in dance classes although I did find some time to play on the tennis team and graduate second in my class.

I have a twin sister who graduated from med school in 2007, following in our father's footsteps. She is an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics resident at West Virginia University.

My brothers, also twins, completed their undergraduate education in West Virginia. Now, Frank is a math grad student at Clemson and William is studying Japanese in Tokyo!

After high school, I began college at Marshall University where I majored in Math with a History minor. I met a lot of great people in Huntington, who I still try to keep in touch with. College was definitely a fun and busy time, with studying, working, dance classes, football games, and shows. Marshall even gave me the opportunity to take a semester abroad in England during my junior year.

When I graduated in 2003, I wasn't ready to find a "real" job, so it was off to graduate school at U.K. and I've been here ever since. Now, I'm planning a wedding for September, so it won't be long until I'm Mrs. Brown!
