Course Coverage
Calculus IV
is about Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE). In this course,
we will study the theory of ODEs, methods of solution, and
their applications. The main topics include: First-order ODEs
(Chapter 1), constant coefficient, second-order linear ODEs
(Chapter 2) and applications to mechanical vibrations, the
Laplace transform (Chapter 6) and applications to ODEs, power
series methods for solving ODEs (Chapter 7), and linear systems
of ODEs (Chapter 3).
Prerequisites
MA 213 or
equivalent.
Course delivery
The course
will be in-person. Canvas will be the main platform. You will
find all the information about teaching, assignments, and other
online resources through your canvas webpage. The information
here is tentative and is subject to changes.
