Computing

Programming in MATLAB (or Octave) is required for this course. Python may also be used if you prefer. UK has a campus-wide license for MATLAB, which you can download here.

Course Coverage

The course studies matrix theory and numerical algorithms with analysis for solving dense linear algebra problems that include linear systems of equations, linear least squares problems, matrix eigenvalue problems, and matrix singular value problems. It will cover most of the first five chapters of the text.
