Many students are interested in their grade in this course, and it is University policy that students be given their grade at midterm. The following information may be used to compute one's grade in MA114 and MA194 at midterm. I am handing it out now, in order that you will know what information you must collect to determine your grade. Please see Brown or your teaching assistant if you have any questions. If your total is 225 or more, you have an A. If your total is 200 or more, you have a B. If your total is 175 or more, you have a C. If your total is 150 or more, you have a D. Notes: If you have missed a homework assignment and your name is on Brown's list of excused assignments, then your total may be slightly higher. MA194 If you have zero or one unexcused absences in MA194, you are passing MA194. If you have two unexcused absences, you have a failing grade at midterm, but may pass MA 194 if you do not have another unexcused absence this semester. If you have three or more unexcused absences, you will fail MA194 and should drop.
