Useful notes of talks from past years may be accessed here.
Use them, if you find them useful.
Be aware that these talks take a more formal algebraic approach
and thus may show you techniques which don't appear in the book
until a later stage.
It also actively uses Maple to do many tedious calculations.
While this is useful, you also need to learn enough hand/calculator
calculation techniques to survive the course.

Much of the material will be redone in class at some point.
