This directory contains itx version of all 10 manDalAs from R^igveda
To process them you need 
1. file frontnew from this directory. Edit the line that defines
\EN depending  on how you want verse numbers.
2. Use following commands to process using latex
xx runs from R01 to R10

itrans -i xx.itx -o xx.tex
latex xx
dvips xx
ghostview xx.ps

Or you can create a postscript file directly using itrans. Refer to your
itrans expert to know how. Itrans 5.1 is used above and 
some encoding defined in it is different from other 
itrans releases. So if you see strange output, 
especially for ~N or GY etc. 
check the transilteration scheme for itrans 5.1

3. The files were created using some sed programs and a syllable collecting 
program called syll which Shashi Sathaye wrote.

4. The directory programs contains sources for syll program. The shell file
that created the xx.itx files in this directory. The chnew3.sed is the sed file
used on original files (produced from harvard files).
