WQS - Web Homework System
|
WQS is an on-line homework system developed in Math Sciences at the University of Kentucky. Students use it to access homework assignments and submit answers which are automatically graded and recorded. Student questions and comments which arise as they are reviewing the results of the grading are sent via e-mail to the instructor. Homework records to date can be reviewed by each student.
WQS is accessed via a web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. Students must have a computer account for the particular section of the course in order to have grades recorded; however, one can browse through the homework problems using a the ms\wqsguest login with password wqs_guest. You connect to the system by access the link: http://www.msc.uky.edu/wqs2. The ms\wqsguest account can be also be used by students in emergencies should they have problems with their personal accounts.
Student accounts are normally created at the beginning of each semester and distributed by the instructors. Late registrees can request accounts in the Math Sciences Instructional Lab in Room 313 of Whitehall Classroom Building.
For problems with the homework content, students should contact their instructors. Additional information about the system is available here. Instructors interested in setting up additional classes using this system or those having technical problems with the homework system should contact ken@ms.uky.edu.
