Exams

 

There will be three midterm exams and a final exam. Each exam is worth 100 points.
You must bring a photo ID to each exam and you may use a scientific calculator on the exams.
Absolutely no cell phone use is allowed during exams.
The final exam, Exam 4, will be comprehensive.

Review sessions

Review sessions will be held on Monday September 14, October 12 and November 9
in room 153 of the Chemistry and Physics Building (CP 153) from 6 pm to 8 pm.
A review session before the Final Exam will be held on Monday December 14
in room 320 of the Chemistry and Physics Building (CP 320) from 4:00 pm to 5:50 pm.

Exam rooms

Exams 1-3 are scheduled in rooms CB 110, CB 114 and CB 122 (CB=Classroom Building).
The final exam will take place from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, December 15, in room NUR 201.

If you have three exams on the same day you are entitled to reschedule the final of the
highest numbered course. If this is the case and MA 137 is the highest numbered course,
the makeup exam will take place in room 231 of the Classroom Building (CB 231) on
Wednesday, December 16, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Please let you instructor know in advance
whether you qualify to take the makeup exam.

Exam dates and material

Exam 1: 5:00-7:00 pm, September 15, 2015.
Covers Chapter 1.
Exam 2: 5:00-7:00 pm, October 13, 2015.
Covers Chapters 2, 3 and 4.
Exam 3: 5:00-7:00 pm, November 10, 2015.
Covers Chapters 4 and 5.
Exam 4: 6:00-8:00 pm, December 15, 2015.
Comprehensive (covers all Chapters, including Chapter 6).

Alternate exams

Students who have university excused absences or who have university-scheduled class conflicts
with uniform examinations may take an Alternate Exam. You must fill out the Alternate Exam
Request Form and submit it to your instructor at least two weeks before the scheduled exam.

The Alternate Exams for Exams 1-3 are given on the same days as the regular exams in room 238
of the Classroom Building (CB 238) from 8:00-10:00 pm (September 15, October 13, November 10).

In case you have a conflict with both the regular and the alternate exam time, you can take a make-up exam on

  1. Wednesday -- September 16, November 11 -- from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in room 114 of the Classroom Building (CB 114).
  2. Wednesday -- October 14 -- from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in room 118 of the Classroom Building (CB 118).
