David Murrugarra is an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at
University of Kentucky. David specializes
in the area of Mathematical Biology. His research has concentrated on the development of methods for modeling, analysis, and control of gene regulatory networks.
He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech
and held a postdoctoral position at the School of Mathematics of
Georgia Institute of Technology before moving to UK in 2014.

Aida Maraj is currently a second-year graduate student pursuing a
Ph.D. in Mathematics at UK. She graduated from the University of
