MA 213 Home Page

This is the homepage for Math 213, Calculus III, a course in Multivariable Calculus.

You can find current Math 213 Web Page (Spring 2020) here

You can find an index and guide to old Math 213 exams here.

**Note:** The syllabus for Math 213 changed in Spring 2019.
Section numbers refer to the current textbook, the 8^{th}
edition of Stewart, Calculus: Single and Multivariable, University
of Kentucky edition.

- Sections 13.3 and 13.4 of the text (velocity, acceleration, space curves) are covered in less depth
- We have added sections 16.5-15.9 in order to cover all of the "big theorems" of vector calculus which students in science and engineering will need in advanced courses such as fluid mechanics and electromagnetism.

These changes are also good for math majors-to-be! The new sections cover the divergence theorem and Stokes' theorem (which you will revisit in Advanced Analysis) and begin to show the interaction between analysis (the study of functions with calculus) and topology (the study of geometric properties of figures that are unaffected by continuous deformation).
