Course Description Continuation of MA 471 G. Derivatives, Power Series, Taylor Series, Weierstrass Approximation, Riemann Integral, Lebesgue Criterion of Integrability, Fourier Series. Textbook Stephen Abbott, Understanding Analysis, 2nd edition. The material covered in this course is contained in chapters 5-8. Classwork & Homework To succeed in the course you must:
Attendance Attendance is required at every class meeting. If you have to miss the class for whatever reason, please email me in advance and, in any case, within 3 days following your absence. Short of this, your absence will be considered an unexcused absence. Exams There will be 3 exams, two take-home midterms (tentatively due on February 19 and April 8) and a take-home final (due Monday, May 4, 12:00 noon). Grading The course grade will be computed as follows:
