If your total is between 153 and 178.5, you have a D at midterm.
If your total is below 153, you have an E at midterm.

Notes:

1. Alert students may have noted that the weights given on the syllabus do
not sum to 100%. The correct weighting of each test is 18.75% of your
grade or 100 points. The quizzes, homework and projects are weighted
at 25% of your grade or 133 points. 

2. I expect that the 133 points for quizzes homework and projects to
be divided as 60 points for projects, 40 points for quizzes and 33
points for homework. 

3. If you have missed a quiz or homework assignment and have spoken
with Brown or your ta, your point total will be slightly higher.

4. There are still 278 points to be earned (or lost) this semester.
Your final grade may be different than your midterm grade.

If you have 0 or 1 unexcused absences, you have a P at midterm.
If you have 1 unexcused absences, you have an F at midterm.
If you have 2 unexcused absences, you will fail MA193.
