Grade The final grade for the course will be based on:

-- three midterms (100 points each);
-- weekly quizzes (100 points);
-- uniform comprehensive final exam (200 points).

Students are expected to attend every class and to read the appropriate sections of the text before coming to class. Attendance and active participation to class life will be also taken into consideration when computing the final grade.

All exams are closed-book. No cheat-sheets and notes are allowed. You must bring your picture I.D. card to every exam. Make-up exams will be given only in case of an emergency or if a valid excuse is given and verified in advance.

Learning Center The Math Learning Center (located in the A-wing of Wells Hall)
help during the following hours:

Sunday 4 - 8PM;
Monday-Thursday 9AM - noon, 1 - 5PM, 6 - 10PM;
Friday 9AM - noon.

Important dates Labor day, no classes: September 7.

Last day to change sections and the end of late adds: September 14.

Last day for a student to drop a course and receive a 100% refund; Last day to change to a lower level course: September 24.

Last day for a student to drop a course without receiving a number grade: October 20.

Thanksgiving break, no class: November 30.

Common Final Exam: December 15, 10-noon.
