Due to the missed lecture on Monday, 3 February, we have revised the schedule for MA 113. Section 2.8 on the intermediate value theorem will not be examined and we will skip the WeBWorK assignment and the recitation worksheet on the intermediate value theorem.
The due dates for the remaining assignments have been adjusted. A2.4 is now due on Tuesday night, A2.5 is now due on Thursday night, and A2.6 is now due on Sunday night.
A supplementary worksheet for this week's recitation will be posted on Monday for this week's recitations and a revised course calendar is available at the common website.
Please remember that we have an exam next Tuesday, 11 Feb. Please start reviewing for the exam. The best way to review is to work lots of problems. You may find plenty of problems in your textbook. In addition, exams from past years are posted at the course website. You should attempt the exam and then use the solutions to check your work. Simply reading the solutions is less likely to lead to deep understanding.
On the exam, students will be asked to give a precise statement of either the definition of continuity or the squeeze theorem (or both) and to make use of this precise statement in a related problem.
