- Exam 1: Thursday, June 20, 2019 --- 5:30pm-7:30pm (room: Funkhouser Building 200)
Covers homework sets 01-07 and Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Exam 2: Monday, July 8, 2019 --- 5:30pm-7:30pm (room: FB 200)
Covers homework sets 08-13 and Chapter 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Exam 3: Monday, July 22, 2019 --- 5:30pm-7:30pm (room: FB 200)
Covers homework sets 14-20 and Chapters 8, 9, 10, and 11.

Exam 4: Thursday, August 1, 2019 --- 5:30pm-7:30pm (room: FB 200)
Comprehensive (covers all homework sets and all chapters).
The exams will be multiple choice with justification. Therefore, if the answer is incorrect, but you show your work you may recieve partial credit.
Each exam is worth 100 points and is made up of 20 multiple choice (worth 100 points). You must bring a photo ID to each exam and you
may use a calculator on the exams. We allow the same calculators as the ACT allows; no Computer
Algebra System (CAS), no network (data or wifi), no camera. Absolutely no cell
phone use during an exam is allowed. The final exam, Exam 4, will be
comprehensive.
MA 123 Online Exam Policy
You are required to do ONE of the following:
- Take the exam on campus from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time in Funkhouser 200 . Note: this option is free and preferred.
- Find an approved testing center or proctor.
- You may choose a proctor from one of the NCTA participating institutions identified at the NCTA website http://www.ncta-testing.org/find-a-cctc-participant. KCTCS also offers testing at many of their campuses throughout the state https://kctcs.edu/degrees_training/kctcs_online/learn_by_term/proctor_exams/ . Students are responsible for paying any proctoring fees.
Other acceptable options include testing centers at most universities or community colleges. If you are not able to find a facility within 30 miles of your location, please contact your instructor for other options.
- Once your proctor has read the proctor instructions, please send an email to kaelin.cook-powell@uky.edu including Student's Full name and email address; Proctor's Full name and position; Proctor's address, telephone, and email address; and any additional comments or concerns at least 3 days before the date of the exam. You may use different proctors for each exam, but each proctor must read the instructions and complete the approval form.
Once the proctor approval form has been completed, your instructor will communicate with your proctor to approve, disapprove, or suggest an alternative arrangement.
- Please note: The examination proctor may not be related to the student or live at the same residence
If I am taking the exam on campus, what are my responsibilities?
- On the day of exam, remember to bring a valid photo ID, pen/pencil, and approved calculator to the exam location at the correct time.
If I am using a testing center or proctor, what are my responsibilities?
- Contact the proctoring facility and schedule an exam for the correct exam date. (The exam time may depend on the testing center’s schedule.). It is your responsibility to locate a proctoring facility near you (preferably within 30 miles). If you are unable to secure a proctoring facility from the lists provided please contact your course instructor.
- Have your proctor read the proctor instructions, then send an email to your instructor, kaelin.cook-powell@uky.edu, including Student's Full name and email address; Proctor's Full name and position; Proctor's address, telephone, and email address; and any additional comments or concerns, at least 3 days before the date of the exam.
- On the day of exam, remember to bring a valid photo ID, pen/pencil, approved calculator. Your proctor needs to scan in your exam AND you may need to provide the proctor with a stamped addressed manila envelope so that the exam is mailed to me. Use the following address on the envelope:
