· Plans for last two weeks: 4/21-5/1
Lectures during 4/21-4/25
I will finish the discussion of Newton, Euler, Ramanujan.
I will discuss two of the more recent mathematicians: Erdos
and Bourbaki! I will choose more if time permits.
Do note the link to Erdos’ paper above. This will be
discussed in class.
During the week of 4/28 – 5/1, we will exclusively
have lectures by various students/groups.
Be aware that attendance is mandatory during
this week and any unexcused absences will severely reduce your attendance
grade!
There are six group projects (see the list of assigned projects). I expect them
to present their projects in class – two in each class.
In addition, there will be three individual projects selected for presentation.
I will contact the individuals separately.
The timetable for the class presentations is now included in the List of assigned projects. Please check
your dates.
